


So in the spirit of keeping our escalating renovation costs down, I've decided to make my own upholstered headboard. I've read countless how-to articles in blogs and several friends have been successful. For materials I'll need a sheet of plywood, high density foam, fabric and nailheads. Depending on the fabric I choose, I figure the material cost will be about $200. Here are some of the designs I'm considering- lots of scalloped edging!
I did find that skyline furniture has lots of affordable options online (between $400-500) for anyone who might also be looking for cheaper options. I might end up going this route if I get lazy...
