Tile Trials & Tribulations

Still trying to decide on a backsplash tile. So many great shapes, sizes and patterns makes narrowing down to just one a challenge. We've moved away from a sheet of back painted glass in exchange for the warmth & texture of a natural stone mosaic. Here are the latest short-listed options, all from Saltillo Imports.
Fans, penny rounds, hexagons, stacked bars

  1. I totally agree - the fans win. I think the hexagons seem slightly vintage bathroom floorish. The penny rounds or stacked bars could work, but I can't really picture them in a backsplash.

  2. Really? I love the fans too but they remind me of shells which I think might be more appropriate for a cottage kitchen. Maybe I'm just over thinking things at this point. My other option is a glass mosaic but it might be too contemporary? Thoughts? Appreciate the feedback!

  3. I think the penny rounds or the small hex myself . wish I could re-do my classic subway , but its classic and its newish.
