It's shocking what a little (or a lot) of paint can do to transform a space. Here's the before & after of our cottage kitchen. Not only did we paint the walls & cabinets but we also replaced the laminate floor with a reclaimed wood floor. We took down the old wall board and replaced them with bead board walls painted cloud white. The cabinets were also freshened up with a few coats of paint, a light cape cod gray. We've slowly been doing all of this over the past 6 years on weekends during the summers. The transformation is pretty amazing.

A fresh coat of light gray
Soldier blue accents
Cloud white on the bead board
I love the school house light & the tin ceiling
What a transformation. I'm always impressed with how much some paint can change a place. I love the beadboard and wood floors as well, mind you.

ReplyDeleteGreat Blog! I'm casting for a new SLICE TV show and we're looking for couples who are renovating a room in their house while trying to plan a wedding or have a baby. We might be able to help! Any chance you fit into this? IF not, would be great if you could spread the word to your fellow bloggers. Interested people should contact me at casting@generalpurposepictures.com

Amazing transformation, talk about a great make over. Really like how the white paint makes your kitchen look bigger. And the blue accents also adds a sense of "cleanness". Kudos on the new flooring as well. So happy to see a beautiful and successful renovation. Great job guys! :)
